Fan coil units are different from traditional air conditioners. Another reason why fan coil units are called industrial air conditioners is because of the different design of air conditioning systems. Air pipes and water pipes are mostly used in the installation of fan coil unit. Moreover, the direction and layout of air pipes and water pipes also change according to the different design of the use occasions. Therefore, fan coil units are also called engineering air conditioners.
The most important thing in fan coil system design is water circulation. If the circulating water design is unreasonable, uneven distribution and loop influence will affect the working effect of fan coil unit.
Several Design Schemes of Fan Coil Unit Circulating Water
1. Double control, one for the water supply pipe, heating water in winter, summer for cold water, the other for public return pipe
This design is suitable for the whole area to have only heating or cooling demand at the same time. The system is simple and the design cost is relatively lower.
2. Three control, one for cold water supply pipe, another for heating pipe, the third for public return pipe
There is a loss of mixing cold and hot water. Compared with the two control systems, the design is more complicated, so the investment is relatively higher.
3. Four control, cold water supply, backwater one, hot water supply, backwater one
It can supply heat to one room while cooling the other room. It can complete the cooling and heating requirements at any time during the four seasons of the year. The operation is relatively complicated and the investment is larger.
