Introduction to the exhibition

IKK is sponsored by NurnbergMesseGmbH and is held alternately in Hannover and Neulenburg, Germany.  The exhibition is not only regarded as one of the largest HVAC and refrigeration technology exhibitions in the world, but also a professional forum for the installation and design of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment in the world. It is also the best place for decision makers in the industry to gather, exchange and purchase and sell.

The main commodities on show are divided into several major categories: first, refrigeration equipment, second, building air conditioning and ventilation equipment, and third, refrigeration and air conditioning measuring instruments.  According to statistics, 90% of the participants in previous sessions were major decision makers of large enterprises, and 92% of the exhibitors got direct contact with new customers through the exhibition. One in three exhibitors got on-the-spot reservation from customers, while 97% of the visitors were quite satisfied with the exhibition and the products on display.

Market analysis

Judging from the growth trend of the global air conditioning market demand, southern Europe and Asia are the fastest growing regions, especially southern Europe, as if they have just realized the comfortable living environment brought by air conditioning (especially split air conditioning). Therefore, the demand is continuously increasing. In the past two years, Italy's demand has reached 755 million US dollars, Spain's 666 million US dollars and Britain's 516 million US dollars.  Relevant agencies predict that the average annual growth rate of the European air conditioning market will be about 13% in the five years from 2001 to 2005, most of which will be split air conditioning. Therefore, the market of southern European countries is also the major market for air conditioning consumption in Europe.  German households mainly use natural gas and oil for heating in winter. In addition, a small number of residential buildings use long-distance heating, electricity or coal burning for heating.  Gas wall-mounted boilers have become the main products for domestic heating in Europe.  In recent years, the use of natural gas has become more and more common, with 75% of new residential buildings using natural gas for heating.  The proportion of natural gas in Germany's heating market is on the rise. Germany is short of energy, almost 100% of oil is imported, and the import of natural gas and coal is also increasing. Energy conservation and environmental protection are in an important position in energy utilization. Therefore, the prospect of those efficient, energy-saving and environment-friendly heating systems and equipment in the European market is very promising.

Through a preliminary understanding of the European HVAC market, we know that the European market is like a magnet attracting entrepreneurs from all over the world.  IKK show has good growth prospects in the fields of air conditioning, heating and ventilation, and will become one of the important ways for Chinese air conditioning enterprises to explore the EU market.
